The Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame proudly announced the 2009 Amateur Sports Development Fund recipients. This year’s awards totaled $5,000.

• Cheektowaga Little Loop Athletic Association, Cheektowaga, N.Y. $1300.00
• Elma, Marilla, Wales Lacrosse Association, Marilla, N.Y. $1300.00
• West Side Rowing Club, Junior Four with Coxswain, Buffalo, N.Y. $1100.00

The Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame Committee is currently accepting applications for its Amateur Sports Development Fund (ASDF), which is awarded to amateur athletes, teams and organizations seeking financial assistance to foster the pursuit of a higher level of athletic achievement. A portion of the proceeds from our annual induction dinner held each fall is made available to fund the ASDF.

Former Mayor Anthony Masiello accepts check on behalf of the Buffalo Police Athletic League Amateur Sports Development from Amateur Sports Development Committee Chair Mike Buczkowski. Masiello is a member of the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2007.
