Class of 2007 Inducted in Gala Celebration at HSBC Arena

The Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2007 was honored by more than 900 attendees at a gala induction ceremony held on October 17 at HSBC Arena. The class included Long-Time West Side Sportsman Tovie Asarese, Colorful Bowling Champion Dick Ciprich, Lancaster High Football Coach Joe Foyle, Sabres Hall of Fame Defenseman Phil Housley, WNY LPGA Veteran Tour Winner Patty Jordan, Duke All-American and NBA All-Star Christian Laettner, Canisius College Hoop Star Tony Masiello, Stallions' Goalie and Blizzard Administrator Jim May, First Family of Buffalo Boxing The Muscato Family, Architect of Bills Super Bowl Teams Bill Polian, and Inspirational Bills Defensive Leader Darryl Talley.

In addition, two other athletes - track and field standout Charles Reidpath and boxer Rocky Kansas - became the first enshrinees in a new wing called the Pride of Western New York - which honors Buffalo area sports immortals posthumously.
