Otto Roehm

Born on August 2, 1882 in Hamilton, Ont. His family moved to Buffalo, NY when he was an infant.

Passed away on May 1, 1958 in Cheektowaga, NY

Athletic Career:

  • Won the U.S. Amateur welterweight wrestling championship in 1904
  • Won the Olympic Wrestling Lightweight gold medal in 1904
  • Also competed as a welterweight, losing in the semifinals
  • Continued wrestling professionally throughout Buffalo and the United States after his Olympic victory. One time held the middleweight title.
