Jake Kaminski was raised in Elma, NY and began shooting archery at the age of six.

By the age of 15, Kaminski had set his target at the highest level and focused his attention on recurve archery, so he could one day compete in the Olympic Games.

His path to the Olympics included an individual gold in the 2010 Pan-American Championships, and a team gold at the World Cup Final. The following year he won a team gold at 2011 Pan-American Games. In 2012, he earned an individual silver and team gold at the World Archery Field Championships in Las Vegas.

Not only did his dream of making the Olympics come true in 2012, but he also helped his team capture a silver medal that year at the Summer Games in London.

After winning an individual gold at the 2015 Pan-American Championships and a team gold at the 2015 World Championships, he returned to the Olympics again in 2016, helping his team capture the silver medal at the Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
When he retired from competition in 2018, he had won more than fifteen international medals, two Pan-American Championship Gold Medals, numerous state medals and countless regional awards.

Since retiring from competition, Kaminski has become a true ambassador for the sport of archery. This work began by sharing his knowledge on all aspects of archery through seminars, coaching and books. His audience grew to new heights through his YouTube channel, which now boasts more than 125K subscribers.

Kaminski, along with his wife Heather, joined forces with their colleague Thomas Finstermann to form Kaminski Archery. They work together as a group of passionate archers who share a deep love for this sport – developing products that are designed to help archers achieve their goals and elevate their performance.
