ASDF Announces Support for Ten Individuals and Organizations

The Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame’s Amateur Sports Development Fund (ASDF) announced the recipients of the 2019 donations. The Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame is donating a total of nearly $20,000 to ten Western New York youth groups and individuals. ASDF money is awarded to amateur athletes, teams and organizations seeking financial assistance to foster the pursuit of a higher level of athletic achievement.

The announcement of the 2019 recipients was made jointly with the public and media announcement of the 2019 Hall of Fame Class, at the KeyBank Center on Tuesday, June 5th.

The 2019 donation recipients:

  • University District Community Development Association
  • St. Benedict School
  • Western New York Lacrosse Foundation
  • Cassie Krzyzanowski
  • Lackawanna Youth Diamond Sports
  • West Side Community Services
  •  Police Athletic League of Buffalo
  •  SABAH, Inc.
  •  Gliding Stars of Western New York
  •  Bishop Timon St. Jude High School

The ASDF has been assisting Western New York amateur athletes and organizations since 1993. It was originally set-up to assist the World University Games, however over the past 25 years, nearly $160,000 has been distributed to more than 100 organizations.
