Eric Moulds

Eric Moulds was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the first round (24th overall) in the 1996 NFL Draft.

Despite being stuck on the depth chart behind Andre Reed and Quinn Early, Moulds was named to the Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie Team in 1996. He continued to gain experience and the former Mississippi State standout had a break out season for the Bills in 1998. During that year he set a single-season team record with 1,368 receiving yards, which also led the AFC and was second in the NFL. In 2002, he became the first Bills’ player with 100 receptions in a single season

In his 8 seasons as the Bills’ number one receiver (1998-2005), Moulds had 626 receptions for 8,523 yards, which was the 7th most in the NFL during that period. During that time, he also averaged 78.25 catches and 1,065 yards per season. Moulds also set an NFL playoff record with 240 receiving yards against the Miami Dolphins (Jan. 2, 1999). He spent his last two seasons with the Houston Texans (2006) and Tennessee Titans (2007).

He is currently second all time for the Buffalo Bills in receptions (675), receiving yards (9,096), and touchdown receptions (48). Moulds was a model of durability for the Bills, only missing 6 games in his ten years with the team.

Moulds was named Second Team All-Pro twice (1998, 2002), he played on three Pro Bowl squads (1998, 2000, 2002) and was one of only three receivers named to the Buffalo Bills 50th Anniversary All-Time Team in 2009.
