Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame president Greg Merkle proudly announced that the oerganization has received a $50,000 grant from the The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation. The grant will support efforts of the organization’s Amateur Sports Development Fund (ASDF)
“This extremely generous grant from the Ralph C.Wilson, Jr. Foundation to our Amateur Sports Development Fund will allow us to support worthy amateur sports competitors in Western New York for several years to come,” said Merkle. “On behalf of our entire board, we extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone associated with The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation.”
The ASDF has been assisting Western New York amateur athletes since 1993. Originally established to assist the World University Games, the ASDF has benefitted more than 150 organizations the past 27 years with more than $180,000 distributed throughout the region.
Interested organizations and individuals may apply for a grant by visiting the ASDF “Apply for Funds” page and completing an application form. A closing date for applications will be announced at a later date.
